Upon receiving the media, lab personnel conduct a visual inspection. This includes checking
the packaging for any signs of damage, contamination, or tampering.

Media are stored according to the required conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity) to
maintain their integrity. Certain media may require refrigeration, while others need to be kept
in a dry place.
𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
The batch number, expiry date, and CoA are recorded in the lab’s inventory system to ensure
traceability and compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Before use, Growth promotion testing on the media to verify its effectiveness and ensure that
it supports microbial growth as expected.
𝐔𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠
The media is used according to first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices to prevent expiration issues,
and usage is carefully tracked for audits and regulatory compliance.
