The number of incubators in a microbiology lab depends on the size of the lab and the
volume of testing performed.
Typically, a microbiology lab may have 2-5 incubators, each
maintained at different temperatures to support the growth of various microorganisms.

This range is appropriate for fungal growth as most fungi, including molds and yeasts, thrive at room temperature or slightly above. - 30-35°C (32.5 ± 2.5°C):
Correct for bacterial growth, especially for many mesophilic bacteria that grow well in this range, such as common pathogen - 42-44°C (42 ± 1°C): Appropriate for E. coli growth. E. coli is typically cultured at around 37°C, but it can tolerate and grow slightly above this temperature in the range you’ve mentioned.
- 55-60°C (57.5 ± 2.5°C): Geobacillus stearothermophilus a thermophilic bacterium used in biological indicators for sterilization validation. It thrives in this higher temperature range.
